Bicycle Safety Day at Mineola Bicycle

Mineola Bicycle and County Seat Kiwanis will be hosting the 3rd Annual Bicycle Safety Day on Sunday May 15th from 12:00 to 3:00 at Mineola Bicycle on Jericho Turnpike.  A skills course, featuring 8 different bicycle drills, will be set up for children ranging in ages from 3-12, to test their bicycle riding skills and will receive a certificate upon completion.  Attendees must bring their own bicycle and helmet in order to participate.  Each young cyclist will get their helmet and bicycle inspected and sized correctly.  Nassau County POP officer Kevin Sikorsky will be on site registering each bike by serial number with the county, in the event it is ever stolen.  Raffles will be available for the chance to win a new bicycle, a Toro lawn mower, an Echo power product and more!  All funds raised will go to the Kiwanis Club and help send kids to Camp Kiwanis.  A DJ will be on hand providing music throughout the event.  Free T-Shirts will be given out to all children who attend.  Hope to see you there!  For information please see http://www.mineolabike.com/Homepage.htm
